Bey Rivals training is a free practice mode that arrived in the October 25, 2026 update: you go to the Training Hall and fight an opponent you build yourself. It is part of BBR Productions' Roblox spinning-top battler. The update named Rui as the trainer, and a bug-fix patch later that day says Volt now runs training. The details come from the developer's Discord patch notes, as recorded by one fan tracker; the developer does not publish them on Roblox, and we have not tested them ourselves.
Where to find Rui in the Bey Rivals Training Hall
Searches for Bey Rivals Rui and Bey Rivals Volt both land here, because the notes name both. The October 25 update added Rui's Training: talk to Rui next to the Training Hall stadium to open it. The bug-fix patch hours later says Volt now runs training in the Training Hall. The notes do not say whether Rui still stands there or what else changed, so look for either name by the stadium. Where the hall sits in the game world is not published.
The PLAY menu also lists a Custom Opponent option, which a fan guide describes as the same idea with no rewards.
How to set up a Bey Rivals training opponent
In the update notes, you build the trainer's bey from any layer, disc and driver, then pick its level and difficulty. A My Bey option copies your own bey, which is handy for a mirror match. Whether you must own a part before you can pick it is not stated.
| Setting | Choices |
|---|---|
| Layer | Any layer |
| Disc | Any disc |
| Driver | Any driver |
| Level | 1 to 100 |
| Difficulty | Five levels, from Rookie to Legend |
| Rewards | None |
Because you choose all three parts, you can rebuild a bey that beat you. Stamina beys, for example, take 10 percent less burst damage from Attack types, and the Bey Rivals parts guide explains what each part does.
Training difficulty levels
Level and difficulty are two settings. Level runs from 1 to 100. Difficulty has five steps, with Rookie at the bottom and Legend at the top. The three names between them are not published, and neither is what a higher difficulty changes about the opponent's play.
A sensible way to climb is to start on Rookie and raise the difficulty one step at a time. That is practical advice, not tested results.
What Bey Rivals training pays
Nothing. Rui's Training pays no BP and no XP, and it costs nothing to run. Other modes pay differently, so use training as a gym, not a farm.
| Mode | BP and XP | Opponent |
|---|---|---|
| Rui's Training | None | A bey you build |
| Friendly match | BP and XP | Real players |
| Bot battles | Half BP | Bots |
| Private servers | No BP | Not stated |
| Ranked | Full BP and XP, plus 1 Spin Ticket per win | Real players only |
For BP, fight real players and follow the Bey Rivals BP guide. Check the Bey Rivals codes page for working rewards too.
Bey Rivals practice plan before ranked
Bey Rivals ranked unlocks at level 5, uses real players only and starts with five placement games. Training is not a ranked queue, so a loss there cannot cost ELO. An outlet guide also advises practising in open stadiums before you queue. A routine built from the stated facts:
- Rehearse your launch. Build a high-level opponent and press Q as each ring meets the circle.
- Practise Brace. Tap it right before each hit against a strong opponent.
- Train your clicking for clashes, which are capped at 8 clicks per second. The Bey Rivals controls page has every key.
- Test matchups. Copy a bey from the Bey Rivals tier list and see how your own bey handles it.
Once those feel steady, take them into ranked or into one of the Bey Rivals clubs, which have their own ELO and leaderboard. New players can start with the Bey Rivals beginner guide.
Bey Rivals training FAQ
Is Bey Rivals training run by Rui or Volt?
Both names appear. The October 25 update added Rui's Training, where you talk to Rui next to the Training Hall stadium, and a bug-fix patch later that day says Volt now runs training in the Training Hall. The notes do not explain the change, so look for either name by the stadium, or open Custom Opponent from the PLAY menu.
Does training give BP or XP?
No. Rui's Training pays no BP and no XP, and it costs nothing to use. Friendly matches against real players and ranked do pay.
What are the training difficulty levels?
There are five, from Rookie to Legend, plus a separate opponent level from 1 to 100. The names of the middle three difficulties are not published.
Can you use any bey in Rui's Training?
Rui's opponent can use any layer, disc and driver, and My Bey copies your own. Whether you have to own the parts first is not stated in the patch notes.
Is training worth doing before ranked?
It is free and cannot lower your ELO, so it is a safe place to practise launches, Brace timing and clashes. It pays no BP, though, so move on to real matches once you feel ready.
